Polaroids

22 December 2020 - 8 February 2021

The artist Daniel Mattar develops dialogues through photography that show multiple three dimensions on photographic plane. Through the use of oil paints and/or mineral pigments, the artist composes his images intervening on small areas of packaging, images from books, ink cards, photos from personal archives and several other surfaces related to image reproduction. In the series POLAROIDS, Daniel visits his photographic collection, where he prints on Polaroid, images captured by him in the past, an exercise in memory where the artist rediscovers himself in his own work. The process is the work and is always in movement by the hands of the artist, who invites us to a dive into the voluminous palettes of colour and the enigmatic use of typography.
